Hi. My name is Andrew Bell and you're browsing drawnline.net, my online portfolio. On this site you'll find a (rather outdated) catalog of projects I've worked on professionally as well as on my own time. My interests and employment lie in the intersection between art & code, so most of what you'll find here fits that description.

I currently live in New York where I work for The Mill as a Creative Technologist, helping to build and run the Digital department. Before that I worked at The Barbarian Group, where my business card read Visual Architect. And prior to my time as a Barbarian I spent 5 years in Los Angeles working for Method as a Technical Director. There I had the privilege of learning the dark art of visual effects from some extraordinary teachers. Before that, and despite my best efforts to the contrary, I managed to earn a degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas. While I was in school I also interned with the Photoshop development team at Adobe and worked for DigiEffects developing plugins for After Effects and Photoshop.

Just about every waking moment of free time I have goes toward running the open source project Cinder, which is a library designed for professional-quality creative coding in C++.

If you've got a project you think I'd be able to help out on, send me an email. I'm available to work through The Mill, and we're always interested in collaborating on projects of just about any description. I'd love to hear more about yours.
